Pet Sematary

I recently finished reading Stephen King’s Pet Sematary. It is not King’s scariest book—that title belongs, in my opinion, to The Shining—but as a father it has a protagonist and a plot I truly could identify with.

The story of Pet Sematary is about a man with a wife and two small children and the lengths that he will go to in order to protect his children and keep them safe. The book is also very much about the cost of going too far in that pursuit.

I highly recommend Pet Sematary. It is an entertaining and fast read that doesn’t suffer from a slapped-on ending like some of King’s other work—looking at you, The Stand
