Favorite YouTube Channels
Here are my favorite1 YouTube channels in alphabetical order, plus an example video from each. Honorable mentions are at the end…
Acorn to Arabella: These two guys are building a boat.
Frank Howarth: Frank makes stuff. I am very jealous of his shop.
Jay Bates: Jay also makes stuff. I am jealous of his shop, too.
Lindsay Ellis: Lindsay Ellis does these great video essays on movies (mostly) that are insightful and very funny.
Mark Rober: Mark Rober has one of those channels that everyone should be subscribed to by default.
Objectivity: I like cool, old, science stuff and I like Brady Haran.
Polyphonic: Video essays on great musicians and songs.
Sampson Boat Co: The Sampson Boat Co is really just one guy, Leo Sampson, and he’s restoring and rebuilding a 100-year old sailing yacht.
Smarter Every Day: Destin is smart. And he wants to keep getting smarter.
This Old Tony: I love Tony’s channel. It is exactly my sense of humor.
Wintergatan: Martin built the original Marble Machine. Now he’s building a new, better one.
Honorable Mentions
